Yes, the person who places the request can see the courier rider on the map in real time as he travels to pick up and drop off the parcel. At the end of the delivery, you will receive an email with the receipt and delivery details.

Our delivery rates are calculated on a distance basis based on the pick up and drop off points selected. The app will show you the total amount before you place the order.

Typically packages should be picked up and delivered within 1-2 hours, depending on traffic and distance required to travel. Our system also allows the sender to see the courier rider on the map in real time as he travels to pick up and drop off the parcel. This way you can estimate more accurately how much time the rider will take to complete his journey.

Currently Hire1 only accepts cash payments. However in the near future we will be enabling different forms of cashless payments for our customers. For corporate customers using the corporate code, no cash is necessary.

Hire1 has partnered with some of the leading courier companies in Sri Lanka and they are highly trained and reliable riders will be delivering the packages. Eg: Aramex, TNT. Hire1 may also work with smaller or individual suppliers as well to ensure availability and to meet the demand of customers.

We also take the effort to screen any individual courier suppliers through interviews, gathering of background information and a financial bond placed with Hire1.

The likely hood of your package getting lost is very unlikely as the the package is picked up and dropped off by the same rider, and during this time the riders full focus is on your package. The customer is also able to track the rider and his/her package from the time the rider and customer are connected, that is before the package has even been collected. Also at the point of delivery the receiver has places a digital signature and the customer is then notified of delivery.

Hire1 will soon offer the ability to insure your goods in transit for a nominal fee. If you added insurance during the booking, you may directly get in touch with our insurance partner. The directions should be on the email receipt you received. They will be able to assist you further.

However, regardless the Hire1 team to begin an inquire into the incident and make amends within about 3 days.

There is no included insurance, but our riders and our partners give the utmost care for items delivered. Rest assured, you have nothing to worry about it. If anything does happen, we will investigate and make an inquiry into it to see how we can take care of you.

Optional insurance will be available to customers via our partner insurance companies. You will be able to select this when placing an order.

Unfortunately this is not possible. Our system allocates the closest rider to your pick up location and dispatches the rider so that delivery time is as short as possible.

Upon the system connecting the customer and rider together for a certain job, all the riders details are displayed to the customer on the app. The riders name, telephone number, vehicle, registration and picture are all displayed.

In a situation like this the best option would be to contact the courier rider directly and adjust the information accordingly.

At the moment Hire1 does not offer this service however we will be expanding to other cities in the near future. We are currently delivering within Colombo and suburbs.

In this case the item will be returned to the sender, but the customer will be required to bare the cost of the return trip.

The item will be stored at the hire1 head office and the user will be charged an overnight storage fee of LKR 1,000.00. We will retry the return to the sender the next morning but this will be charged as a new delivery. If it is not claimed, items will be destroyed and disposed within 3 days or handed over to authorities.
